all of MY stuff fits in my van. She needs an 18 wheeler and two guys. I told her when she bought it, bag by bag of thrift store stuff, that i was not going to move it and I'm not. It's going to cost her at LEAST $500 to have guys move it for her. I get a garage-shop that I can LEAVE my stuff set up in, and pieces of it dont get 'lost" and there's a shed out back, so I get to save on the two storage units I'll no longer need. The location is a mile close to the BOL, too. only have to cross about 1/2 mile of open country before I'm in the woods/creek, and then I can just follow the creek to the lake. 10 miles or less. Can drive thee on back roads after cutting one woven wire fence, so it's not that bad. one of my vans is a suitable camo sort of color, but tt's the old one, transmission is nearly shot. The good one, tho is too bright a color. I figure to dump off the stuff at several sites, leave her on overwatch, run the van another coupld of miles down the road, then off into the brush, cover it with brush, trot back to the stuff, and bury what aint aiready buried.

Good luck with the move, but might want to just give up on the bugout daydreams and spend that time & energy pondering (and preparing for) much more likely occurences. The bugout-and-live-like-Jeremiah-Johnson scenario is just not going to happen in the US, especially for someone our ages. I'm a little younger than you and I'm too old to want to be doing that crap. At your age and with bad knees, it's very unlikely to be a winning solution for you either.

I warned her I was not going to move all that crap she kept bringing home. She's another marcos, 200 pairs of shoes that she's never worn and never will wear. There's no option but the bugout. Everything else is a fantasy. They'll just snipe you or burn you out of any building that you try to hole up in. I have an ideal area for concealment within 1/2 mile, really, but it's a flood plain. To get above, yet close to the lake, we have to go 10 miles. But all but 1/2 mile of it is in a wooded creekbed.and it's all miliary land. Cut a hole in the fence in 100's of place and drive right to it. I got over the knee problem years ago. If I hadnt, there'd be no way I'd be driving 1000 lbs on the 45 degree leg press. All of the stair-step aerobics gave me 19" calves, all cut-up. I"ve got such massive abs that they show, despite having 40 lbs over my ideal weight. My student is very upset that I dont even have to "tighten up' to take his best punches. Were' moving about 2 miles across town.

Geez, bugging out to a flood plain sounds so promising! I wonder why we didn't think of that? I know why I bought a house on high ground, in the small city I live in, during the last 25 years we have had 3x "storms of the century" with massive flooding.

Melvin, really, why are you being evicted? By the way, I never question when my wife adds to her 200+ pairs of shoes and she never questions any firearms or accessory purchases that I make.

I start complaining about what my Wife buy's? Not in this lifetime. Her riposte would be impossible to answer. "Another CZ?" "A .22 adapter kit?" I shut up and compliment her choices.

Since my wife travels and competes with me generally 3/4 of the purchases are for the 2 of us. Recently she questioned my choice of buying an M1 Carbine, pending the result of Canadian Constitutional court challenges it is prohibited to take your AR out of the house. If I want to compete some time before April 2022 it is time I expanded my options for 3 gun matches.

Well considering where "Wifey" is from the 200 shoe Imelda Marcos comment did get a chuckle out of me.
Both of you all got plenty of time to pack.

I she an 8.5 woman's like Imelda is? You know that old gal is still alive at age 91!

she's a shoe size 9. really big hands and feet for somebody who's 5'3" and 100 lbs. I'll have a big garage and really big back yard so a lot of projects can be done. They've been on the back burner for a long time

You okay John? Coming back almost ten minutes later to repost the middle sentence of the previous post may be a sign of needing more sleep or an adjustment in meds.
