so CHANGE the rules, *****. SOMEBODY just arbitrarily set down those rules, whoever runs the match can just IGNORE the centerfire 'mandatory" bs if he feels like it.

Because its fun! Because it gives me another excuse to go to the range! Because it gives me another excuse to spend money they way I want to! Because its an excellent way to socialize with other shooters! Because it gives me an opportunity and an interest to study North American history! Because there is a sense of competition! Because you can't!

it's just meaningless bs anyway, why waste the money on centerfire guns and ammo, hmm?
It's not a waste if you can afford it and you enjoy doing it.

Why do you care what others can or cannot afford to do?

Besides, cowboys didn't use .22LRs.

And yep, it's fun. It's a great way to socialize and HAVE A LIFE. Nothing like everyone being in character, running through matches as their character would (with a few rules, mostly for safety). Plus it's a great thing to see women in dresses.

Did you ever hear of enjoying life? Why are we here? I'm not into the game, because of my area, but it sure look's like a lot of fun. I'm pretty well decked out with my Colt .45, Springfield .45/70, single shot 12 gauge. and 30/30 Winchester, but the SASS is usually a way's from my area.
