They weren't. Not by anybody I ever knew. I shot ATA for a number of years, went to the Grand Nationals at Vandalia 3 times, and never heard anything particularly good about Federal shells except that they were cheap.

why were Federal paper trap loads
considered to be more consistent, for trap shooting at 16 yds, than AA plastic shells?
