could post with a lever action, SA revolver, etc? It would just be twice as slow as it would be with a proper firearm. Ditto ANY time-string of fire, beyond 2 seconds(past the first NOISY shot, anyway) on STATIONARY, fully exposed targets. Nobody's going to just be STANDING there, waiting to be shot, more than 2 seconds after they first become aware of a threat. Most will be moving within ONE seconds of such an awareness, and that awareness MAY be of you, and you AINT aware of THEM. So you can EASILY have less than one second in which to do SOMETHING usefull. Either fire your gun or at least, be going prone,moving to cover, jerking your buddy into the path of the bullets (in garnad's case).
