Ok, I'm looking for a new barrel for my 1911 which one would be the best choice of the 2 or does it matter?

I've had both in different 1911's and they both worked fine but that's been a few years back so what's the current opinion on them?

I replaced the barrel in my Browning Hi-Power with a Bar-Sto year before last. There was only minor fitting involved. The increase in accuracy was amazing - 1.5 inch groups at 25yds from a steady rest - this from a non-target handgun. I'm a satisfied customer.

I purchased a Brown drop in barrel for one of my .45's about 7 years ago. Very nice, very accurate. It was a good purchase.

u aint good enough to know the diff between either,

and a Series 70, collet bushing model. the latter group at WORST 4" at 50m(5 shot machine rest group) given good ammo, and a decently fitting slide. Some are 2.5" or a bit better.
