exposed, nice light, nice, steady firing position (when you HAVE to hit a man won't make it happen that way) The reality is, when you HAVE to hit a man, he'll be dodging, using cover, and the best firing position that you can hope for is sitting, around the side of cover. Under those conditions, you will miss a lot at 200m, (with any rifle or load). 200m isn't more than half the effective range of a SHORT barreled 223, with a scope on it.

That's right! That is exactly why soldiers, police, and private citizens need more than 10" of penetration from a defensive handgun or rifle round.
